Below is a list of additional events and activities happening at the Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., Saturday, Jan. 20 in collaboration with the Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band concert at Tuscawilla Park.
OCALA, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2018) – Saturday, Jan. 20, Latin GRAMMY-award winning duo Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band will perform at Tuscawilla Park, 223 NE Fifth St., at 3 p.m. This special concert caps off the closing activities of the Discovery Center’s current exhibit, Super Kids Save the World. Below is a list of additional events and activities happening at the Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., Saturday, Jan. 20 in collaboration with this event.
Additional Star Lab Planetarium Shows:
- 11 a.m. – Tour of the Solar System
- Noon – Constellation Mythology
- 1 p.m. – Tour of the Solar System
- 2 p.m. – Constellation Mythology
Critter Meet & Greets:
- 11:30 a.m. – Eragon the Tegu
- 12:30 p.m. – Hextor the Blue-Tongued Skink
- 1:30 p.m. – Mr. Daisy the Bearded Dragon
- 2:30 p.m. – Rosie the Chilean Rose-Haired Tarantula
Van de Graffe Static Lightning:
- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Recycle Roundup:
- 1 to 3 p.m.
Science Exploration Room:
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Exploration Stations
- Kinetic sand, miniature dinosaur dig pit, optical illusions, sound science and CSI fingerprinting
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Table with DIY science instruction takeaways
Tickets to the Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band concert are included with admission to the Discovery Center now through Saturday, Jan. 20 – $6 per person or $20 for a family of four.
